British Coastline Guinness World Record

On 6th July 2025, former professional cyclist Molly Weaver set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of the British coastline by bicycle in 21 Days, 10 Hours and 48 mins.

Despite multiple attempts by various athletes over the years, the previous record had stood since 1984. A woman had never previously attempted the feat.

Setting the new record involved cycling over 7700km while climbing the equivalent of over eight Everests, navigating heatwaves, gales, 18 days of headwinds, and long spells of torrential rain.

Molly rode for around 18 hours a day, pushing through inevitable mental and physical barriers, tackling the challenging terrain that comes with circumnavigating the coastline of Great Britain.
